Acktak Transport Co. is a Nantucket company run by Tak. The name comes from ACK, the island’s own nickname, and that’s where we live and work.

Getting a car, a load of freight or a houseful of furniture on or off Nantucket is never as simple as it sounds. There are ferries to line up, loads to secure, and a handoff on the mainland to coordinate. We take care of all of it so you don’t have to.

We’re a small, hands-on operation. You talk to people who know the island and care about getting your things there in the same shape they left. When a job is bigger than what we haul ourselves, we bring in trusted partner carriers and stay your point of contact the whole way.
